I put lifts in my shoes so I could always be tall. Plus, there was an actual model in the school, and I was obsessed with her because she was absolutely flawless. She would appear in Seventeen and that just blew my mind.

I was actually a hostess in a jazz club, and a photographer would come in every so often. Every week, she’d come in with Woody Allen of all people, because he was a jazz enthusiast, and they would hang out there.
